Easter Festivities

For the last few years (whenever the date works) the adults in my family have gotten together and gone to the adult easter hunt put on by Kirkwood and Webster. This year it was at a park in Shrewsbury and was a VERY cold night. We bundled up and went anyway. We just spent very little time out of our cars! It's always a fun event and this year everyone walked away with a prize or two.
the girls at the hunt...don't mind my mom with her headlamp on backwards. One might think the light digging into her forehead would hurt :)
Me and Tom..serious as always

Below is a smorgasboard of Easter pics at my grandma's house. We spent the morning at Tom's mom but I, unfortunately, didn't take any pics. We spent the whole day outside as it was a beautiful one! Everyone had so much fun. Yard games, kids running, college basketball and lots of yummy food. Enjoy the photos!

all the grandkids except for Joe. That sweet boy was definitely missed.

toward the end of the day it got really classy. This is the table TJ set up in the backyard so they could keep enjoying the nice weather. I swear he had half of mama's house out in that yard.
a much better shot of me and my sweet man

this little guy loves to see himself on the phone...it's a sure smiler every time
brought out the wedding yard games. SO FUN! Definitely a highlight of my day minus the fact that I was terrible. The smaller kids would climb on between throws and we would have to kick them off for the next round.
these two really adore each other

My sweet grandmother and her grandchildren. She is such a trooper!
We definitely had a fun and blessed Easter. My grandmother does a great job cooking for all of us and the kids and adults enjoy the day to relax and play!

Rachel's Baby Shower and St. Patrick's Day

Right after my team went on our spring break trip I got to go down to Cape Girardeau to see two of my dearest friends. Rachel and Leslie are both pregnant. Rachel is having twin girls and Leslie is having her second, a girl. They are just too cute and it was so fun!
Three babies in my hands!
What a cute little pregnant mama
college roommates, so many memories

Sunday night we had a St. Patrick's Day dinner at my parent's house. All the kids were dressed in green and baby Trey was rocking an adorable hat as usual!

This baby is ready to be fed...

We had so much fun watching our sweet little Trey dance his heart out!

Christmas Day

This year Christmas seemed to fly by. On Christmas Day my dad was sick and didn't get to leave his bedroom. That was the gift we were most excited to give so that was kind of a bummer. We ended up getting together on New Year's Day to give it to him. I was a little under the weather myself. It ended up being a sinus infection, but on Christmas Day I had zero appetite, chills and a sore throat. Next day was full fledged migraine and sinus infection. Bummer, but alas I survived. Many other Rau family members were taken out by the flu so I guess it could have been worse. I did really enjoy my first Christmas as a Mueth and just love spending the holidays with my husband.

Our little Christmas tree on Christmas morning
three sweet boys in their matching pjs...so excited for presents
trying to wait so patiently

Delaney is such a sweet cousin and let the boys play with her brand new Kindle Fire while they waited.
Claire was so sweet and patient the whole morning
Some of the nieces and nephews in their pjs on Christmas morning

It's so fun that there's often a first Christmas taking place at my parent's house! LOTS of babies. This year was Trey's first Christmas. Last year was Reese and the year before was Joe! I loved watching Trey open his presents...with a little help of course.

Mama with a lot of her babies
Ever since we were little we have taken a picture on the stairs. We have forgotten just a few years. We stand in youngest to oldest order in our pjs. When we were very little we would all be in matching pjs and would have to go back upstairs and come running back down for the video camera. I love me some holiday traditions.
All the kids in order. So fun that everyone was there this Christmas morning.
all the kids with spouses
an absolutely horrific attempt at a grandkids picture on the stairs. Lots of madness in this picture
Baby Trey and his great grandma's house
Doesn't he have the sweetest smile?
We didn't get a white Christmas but did get a little snow right after the holiday. The first snow at our new house! Notice the precious new tree in the front yard....hope the snow helps it grow :)

2012 in Review

I am so excited to write this year in review because it truly was the best year ever. I had a great 2012 with wonderful people by my side. As 2012 began Tom and I anticipated our wedding. Last New Years we weren't even halfway through our engagement and I remember being mostly finished with wedding planning. I thought the year would go so slowly, but with a few exciting events (both anticipated and surprise) the year flew by. You will notice that the wedding was a focus of the year, but it was an amazing year overall. Thanks to everyone who helped make this year special. Cheers to 2012 and here's to 2013!

Second Row at the Blues Game
This has become a yearly tradition for us!
Hopefully they start playing soon so we can see another game in the all inclusive seats.

A BIG and unexpected move
Started Super Bowl Sunday and new house close date was March 8
After a few major issues with the upstairs neighbor it became clear it was time to get out of the apartment.
First the pod got packed
Then the pod got moved and to the house "under contract"
Then closing day came and we had our new house!
