Bachelorette Party FUN!

A while back when we first started talking about my bachelorette party I made it very clear that I was not interested in the bar scene or anything risque. What I really wanted was a fun girl's overnight at the winery. My wonderful matron of honor delivered just that. Last Saturday we went to the winery in Ste Gen for a day filled with wine, music, food, friends, family, and lots of sunshine. It was a great day. As the wineries began to close down we packed up and headed back to the house that we had rented for the night. It was enough space for everyone with a patio where we could play games. The sunset was beautiful and the evening was perfect. My mom and sister had lasagna, salad, and bread waiting for when we arrived. The whole evening was a blast. What a fun and memorable weekend.

Bridal Shower

This past weekend was full out wedding fun! I can't believe the festivities have begun and have quickly begun to realize how soon this will all be over and the whole marriage thing will begin. Heather Baker, my  matron of honor, hosted a beautiful shower at my parent's house. There were tons of adorable yellow and gray details (thanks in part to my sister, Stephanie, mom, and sis in law, Ashley). It was so fun to have many of my favorite ladies together in one place. As chaotic as it was it is a memory I won't ever forget.

Bench Redo

Since I have owned my own home I have really gotten into furniture redos. I love what you can do with an old piece of furniture. The other day I found an old bench in my parents garage and knew it would be perfect in my sunroom. First, I cleaned it and sanded it down.

After sanding

Then I primed it

Then I painted it and searched the world for cushions. I couldn't find the perfect size so I got two that 'worked' and added some pillows. I love the way it turned out.
