New York Trip: Last Day

For our last day in NYC we rose VERY early to try and head to the Today Show. This was a last minute plan so we weren't fully prepared for the endeavor. We left our apartment around 5:45 am and started walking toward Rockefeller Center. We stopped on the way to buy some markers and posterboard. First, we tried to get in with just our poster board and markers and figured we would write as we wait. Now, I can tell you from experience, you cannot do that! Have your poster completed before you go. We scribbled something on quickly and walked right in. It wasn't completely smooth sailing but before we knew it we were up behind the main broadcast desk! We loved watching them all get primped before they went on camera.

this is a photo a friend took of us on tv. so fun!

Our time at the Today Show was awesome but it was the coldest we were all trip. We left before the show was over and went to get a coffee. From there we walked through Tudor City simply because it is a quaint part of the city I thought all would enjoy. Also, we saw the UN.

Back at our apartment it was time to pack up and get a cab to my cousin's apartment for brunch and time with her kids. We lugged our suitcases back downstairs and giggled as mom couldn't seem to get unstuck from the door to outside. The laughs truly were endless.

Brunch at my cousin's apartment was absolutely delightful. The food and company was fabulous and the kids kept us entertained with all of their dress up clothes.

We culminated our trip with a walk through Central Park. The weather was delightful (for January). I am not sure why I haven't ended every trip to NYC like this. We saw more of the park than I have ever seen before and even enjoyed a little toast to our trip.

Have you ever seen a more beautiful picture?!

Before we knew it our time was up and we had to rush back to Sarah's apartment.

All good things must come to an end. It was back to the airport to go home!
