Fourth of July Weekend

We had an absolutely fabulous Fourth of July weekend. Tom was off work Friday which helped to make the weekend feel extra long. We were also crazy busy until Sunday when we didn't do much besides hang out around the house and complete some tasks. Fourth of July was full with a parade, two bbqs and the pool. We finished with the baby in bed and us on the rooftop enjoying some drinks and trying to observe some fireworks from the comfort of our home. All and all a superb holiday.

A Half a Year Gone so Fast

I can't believe we have already spent a half a year loving on and getting to know our sweet boy, Trace. He is the absolute best thing to ever happen to us. He makes us laugh each day and keeps us on our toes. We have said so many times that everything is more difficult but also more fun. We love having this little joy in our lives and everything he teaches us each day. Here are some of his highlights from the sixth month of life:
* Loving sweet potatoes, avocados, butternut squash, applesauce and bananas.
*On the move. We officially started an army crawl of sorts toward the end of the month.
*Can sit up for long periods of time.
*Went on his first overnight camping trip and slept like a champ in the tent.
*Absolutely loves going to the pool and almost falls asleep on the lazy river.
*Is struggling to nap over an hour, especially in the afternoon.
*Loves to swing at the park behind our house.
*Says "dadada"
*His favorite toy is his crawling horse which he chases everywhere
