Two Year Anniversary Trip: Day 1

I am just going to start by saying this trip was the biggest blessing. I was missing Colorado. We spent our summer vacation with a couple lovely friends and I wanted a trip with just my hubby. I am expecting a baby. Our second wedding anniversary was upon us. See, there are many reasons. Tom and I were talking about going to Colorado for our anniversary. Then, he found out he had to fly into Denver for a work trip. Done. We booked flights to leave St. Louis early Friday am and enjoy three days in the mountains before he had to go to work and I had to head back to St. Louis. We rented a car and found a perfect little cabin in a small town called Alma. We spent the days hiking. The sun was shining, the company was fabulous and in my 27th week of pregnancy I was still up to hiking most of the day. Let me say it again, this trip was the biggest blessing. One of the best gifts my sweet husband will probably ever give me. While I tried to put pictures into one post I simply had too many. So, enjoy.

This is Day 1. We flew in to Denver, rented a car, stopped for breakfast in Georgetown, drove Guanella Pass and enjoyed a beautiful hike along the way.
It was snowing when we arrived in Denver. By the time we got into the mountains the sun began to shine and the scenery was fabulous.

Arizona Trip: Last Day

On our last full day in Arizona Tom and I took a little day trip. We drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Tom had never seen the Grand Canyon and I thought it would be fun to take a morning together to see this natural wonder. It was a quick trip with just a touch of hiking but it was fun. It is truly an amazing site that cannot be captured by photograph and is really only so marvelous when seen in person. We stopped at a couple overlooks and got some incredible photographs before heading back into Flagstaff.
