The Farm

This past weekend I had the opportunity to escape for about 24 hours to a friend's farm. Myself and four other girls packed some wine and hided an hour and a half into the country to enjoy a sweet little respite. It was a good time with good food, good conversation, and good company. Here are a few snapshots from the weekend:

My birthday!

I have the most incredible friends and family in the world who helped make my 27th birthday so special. I started the day with two of my favorite little people at Dunkin Donuts.
This is Claire's standard response when asked where something is.
She is wearing a Cards bib in honor of my birthday fun day at the game.

The coolest beer vendor ever. He's holding out the word BUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDD in this picture. Bleacher seats are where it's at!

Three of my dearest friends took off work to come to the Cards game with me.

After the game we tried to find our car in the wrong parking garage!

The black jeep is ours :) What a great birthday! Thank you friends!

Welcome Baby Connor!

I am so excited for Tom's family to have a new baby! Connor William was born 5/15 at 3:29. He is a chunky little man at 9 lb. 3 oz and 21 inches long. AND he is so cute! Congrats Bussens and Mueths, I am excited for you all!

Heather's Bachelorette Party!

Although I would say I am not Bachelorette Party material I had a blast at Heather's party this past Saturday night. We started the day with pedicures to include the sweet maid of honor and Heather's soon to be step daughter. Hopefully you can see how darling she is...even with the picture turned!
Then we gave Heather her gift which made her cry. It was a book of advice and well wishes from all of her closest friends.

We got all dressed up for our night out... I wish I could put a picture of us in 8th grade next to this :)
The group of girls
Then we went to Lucas Park Grille for Dinner
Hilarious: Heather was talking shmack about these two girls in the bar. When we went into the bathroom Heather was telling me how her hair was bothering her...one of the very same two girls told her she was a hairstylist and offered to put it back up!! She turned out to be super sweet. Lesson learned... don't talk shmack in the bar.
Moving on to Big Bang on the landing

Excuse me, are you the bride? May I have this dance?

We had a blast and now can't wait for the wedding! Congratulations, Heather! I couldn't be happier for you!

Summer Time in St. Louis: First Edition

I know I've been an uber lame blogger lately, but I have decided to pick up my game a little bit. Although my summer is full of vacations, practicum observations, classes, and camps, I hope to do some fun St. Louisy things while I am in town. Today I left work a bit early and went down to the city. I enjoyed a run around Lafayette Park and then met my friend, Lara, in the Benton Park neighborhood for lunch at Blues City Deli. It is DELICIOUS and a very popular St. Louis spot. I definitely recommend it: http://www.bluescitydeli.com/
