Mueth Cali Trip: Day 4 in Humboldt Redwoods State Park

On our second day in the Redwoods we woke early and went out for our daily coffee. Once we found our trailhead we sat there to enjoy breakfast. It was a crisp morning and the warm coffee in the woods was a perfect way to start the day. Once we were fueled we head out for a ten mile hike through the Redwoods. It was another situation where we could take a picture every five minutes. The trees were massive and the views were stunning. Despite a small fear we were going to get eaten by a bear (there was nobody back on the trail!) we really enjoyed our time. We stopped for a little lunch halfway through and were off the trail by mid afternoon.

When we got back to the campsite we were both spent. Tom wanted to rest and I wanted to check out the river. He went to sleep and I walked down to relax on the rocks. It was sunny and warm and perfect. I kind of regretted hiking so much and wish we would have spent the afternoon playing in the water! Either way it was a great way to spend an hour.

After a little resting up we head to the local hot spot. We went into Miranda and had a delicious dinner at Avenue Cafe. It was great people watching too!

Full and satisfied we head back to camp. One more night at this fun little campsite and we would be on our way. Next stop on our trip: Oregon coast.
