The first week of August I had the privilege of helping a friend and bridesmaid, Lara, move to Colorado. We had a great drive out west and drove it to beautiful blue skies.Tom's best man, Paul, was in Colorado and so graciously volunteered to come help us move boxes. We got everything moved and set up by late afternoon at which point we climbed out the window and enjoyed a beer on the roof before heading to dinner.
Although we spent a lot of time getting Lara all settled in we did get to enjoy some fun Coloradoness. On Wednesday night I went to Red Rocks for the second time. We saw Primus and Flaming Lips. Both those bands are a bit eccentric and put on quite a show.
Red Rock is an awesome venue...we had a great time.
Each morning I got up early enough to enjoy a run. Lara has two great running trails within a couple miles of her apartment. The views were incredible.
We also went for a very quick hike one day. It's just amazing how many beautiful things are so close to where she lives.
And finally when the week ended me heart broke just a little. Another friend heads west and yet Colorado continues to call. Maybe someday... Below are some pictures we shot at the reservoir our last few hours in town.
