There was a lot of talk about this year's Thanksgiving dinner and how we were going to pull it off. Dad usually made dinner and mom made pies. Amy and I were off work on Wednesday so Amy, Kara and I got together to pre make as much as we could. The day contained a mix of emotions including a lot of laughter when we almost broke the garbage disposal and mom had to plunge the sink. All in all I would say it was a success.
Wednesday night we went to the pep rally to watch Taylor perform with pommies and the senior skit. She did a great job!
On thanksgiving morning we were supposed to run in he turkey trot. It was just too cold so we decided not to. By noon it had warmed up to be quite lovely. I went for a run and walk in preparation for dinner.
Finally, it was was time to see if our hard work had paid off. Thanksgiving dinner with my side of the family.
We had a pretty bouquet of flowers and a candle lit in dad's honor. He was certainly missed but we were so proud that we did it!
Saturday afternoon we went to Joe's third birthday party. It was construction theme and adorable.
